This place is nice with good food. Typical Indian flavour and service was good. Had been with my US cousin and was impressed with ambience n food.
Quaint little place in Port Credit. My husband and I decided to go out for date night and had been craving some good Indian food. We decided to check this place out after reading the reviews on Zomato. The food and the overall experience definitely lived up to our expectations. We were really hungry so decided to give the appetizers a miss and go straight for the main course. We ordered butter chicken okra and the beef kebabs. We had requested for thr food to be spicy and they definitely turned on the heat for us. The butter chicken is the best I've ever had in Canada. It reminded me of back home. The okra was delicious as well and my husband enjoyed the beef kebabs. The garlic Naan was buttery and soft. The only thing that was a disappointment was the mango shake but hey I didnt care about it. We were just ecstatic to find an Indian place that did serve authentic flavors and that was just 10 mins away from us. The service was great..the owner came in and checked in on us as well. I would definitely recommend this place to all those who crave good Indian food. Can't wait to go back again. a meal for two with three dishes and a drink was $72 including tip. Not a bad deal at all!!!
If you order extra hot, you will definitely get it extra hot! I decided to try out this nearby restaurant with my dad and girlfriend, wondering how we had missed it all this time. We frequent curry houses in the UK often and have high standards, so we decided to test the restaurant by ordering extremely hot vindaloos. They blew our heads off! A word of warning for those who are not used to super hot food – be very cautious. I have a high tolerance for spicy food, but even I found it hotter than I would normally enjoy. However, we wanted to see if the restaurant could handle the heat and they did not disappoint. Our server brought out the chef for us to meet and we enjoyed a nice chat at our table. We tried a vegetable sampler together, and although I prefer my pakoras to be crunchier, the appetizers were tasty with the mint and tamarind sauces. My girlfriend ordered Navratan Korma, a vegetable dish we had never heard of, and she was impressed. It's a shame that good curry houses are hard to find in North America, but this restaurant will definitely be a local favorite for me and my family. We will definitely be back.
