Gyros Place Inc - Mississauga

The food is good, the staff are nice, and the prices are okayI've enjoyed several of their burgers, and almost all of the breakfast options.

Went with family 2 times nowThe place is always busy but, in a town without a Dennys I guess you have to go somewhere.

We're spsending the night at the close-by Comfort Inn before our early flight out of Pearson tomorrow.Go a bit hungry after check in so headed to this Gyro spot for a late lunch.I have to say the Chicken Gyro wad quite delicious and a good size. Also, good hot sauce available. But don't be so stingy with the fries! Had a side order that literally consisted of like 14 and 1/2 fries.. When you see more plate than food, it's not a very good serving size.Hopefully we can chalk this up to time of day.

I used to live in Greek Town Toronto. Living there one quickly learns where to eat. Now I live in Mississauga and yes a great Greek meal is worth 1 hour drive but Gyros Place on Matheson means I no longer have to travel for the 10/10 Greek Dinner. I've ordered the Lamb Souvlaki a few times too. A few times I've showed up in the late evening only to find out they have sold out of the lamb. They still have gyros but I prefer the tender seasoned rare chunks of lamb. The dish comes with a proper salad, feta cheese and black olives. The rice yummy and the potatoes have the lemon seasoning you expect. They are the big potatoes cut in wedges soft mushy inside, not mealy, and crunchy outside on the tips. The tzatziki is good too. I usually ask for extra. They do give 1 slice of pita too. The meal is perfect but.... Getting take out they pack the salad in the same container as the hot food. If one is eating right away, this is actually better but if you have a long drive the salad is a bit warm. I've tried their gyros too, very good! The portion is healthy and on Tuesdays it includes a free pop. (At the time of writing it is.... that promotion might not be forever). The pork and chicken souvlaki is good too, as I always try some from the people who accompany me. The restaurant at lunch gets busy. So go early!

We order take-out at work all the time. Excellent greek food and great prices. We are definitely all addicted to the Gyro pitas. My daughter had one the other day and I have never seen her eat so fast...she still talks about it.
