Salsa Grill Cantina - Mission

I've driven past this place for years, and it always looked a bit dark from the outside. However, some friends mentioned they really enjoyed it, so I decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a wonderful experience! The food was excellent, and the prices were quite reasonable. Our waitress, Stephanie, was exceptional. The menu offers a wide variety of options, allowing you to add chicken, beef, or pork, as well as vegan choices. I will definitely be back and will bring some friends with me. The drink selection is incredible, and the margaritas were outstanding and reasonably priced!

Salsa Grill is our top choice for Mexican cuisine in the Kansas City area. The salsa is outstanding—rich in flavor, loaded with chopped vegetables, and available in mild, medium, and hot options. John, the owner, treats every customer like a friend. As vegetarians, we appreciate how John and his staff consistently serve us delicious dishes filled with incredible flavors. The servers are both professional and friendly, making us feel like part of the family at Salsa Grill.

I wasn't impressed with the food experience. The chips were overly greasy, and both salsas lacked flavor and heat. The rice was strangely crunchy, suggesting it might have been overcooked. The chicken taco was decent, but the tortilla was so soggy that it fell apart on one side, likely because they didn't drain the meat before adding it. The only thing that was hot on the plate was the tamale, which ended up being our favorite item we tried, although it was crunchy on both ends, making it difficult to eat entirely.

I have been here quite a few times and have never really found something that wowed me . I tried the steak tacos today and they were just that steak nothing else in them. I didn't realize the side it ca.e with doubled as my toppings

There are so many options to choose from, including chicken, beef, or pork, and they also offer vegan dishes. I’ll definitely be returning and bringing friends with me! The drink selection is impressive, and the margaritas were incredible, served with great chips.
