Bidra med feedbackThe food was okay, the salad was served in a lettuce cup with some pieces of cucumber and tomatoes. They do not allow serving a shot of alcohol on the rocks, it must be served with coke.
The food was terrible. In the past, this restaurant has had great food, but their new menu (Cantina Bar) that has replaced the Huxleys menu is just average. The cheesy fries were unappetizing, and the beef burrito spring rolls (only received 3 out of 4) were dry and seemed like they were store-bought. Overall, it was a horrible experience. I wish I could get a refund.
Initially there was no vegan cheese after the order had been placed and paid for. Chef informed me that they could make a pizza without cheese this didn 't go to well. Refunded and purchased another option with the very limited other vegan options that were available. Bad start on that visit. Massive groups of parents and children. This definitely is a 'family friendly ' pub if you are after that otherwise steer clear if that is not your scene. Came back a 2nd time for a 'buy 1 get 1 free meal ' and vegan cheese was available (had to let them know in advance). Friendly bar staff on both occasions. Just a shame they weren 't made aware by the bistro they didn 't have vegan cheese. The female manager who processed the refund could smile a bit more. Not my fault you ran out of ingredients. Meals themselves were as follows: Chicken Parmigiana Average Decent sized chicken. Average tasting. Not many chips. Chicken Burger Below Average Average size burger. Disappointing taste. Not many chips. Poke Bowl Below Average Small portion size. Nothing special about this. What you order is what you get. Vegetarian Pizza Excellent Very good pizza especially being a vegan one. Very tasty and full of ingredients as opposed to just being a margherita. Cheeseburger Below Average Average size burger. Bland meat patty. Very boring nothing special. If you are a member and get a buy 1 get 1 free it is definitely worth it otherwise other local options available.
Monstrous industrial main road location, which the pub amplifies by setting themselves behind a poorly maintained car park. Inside, it's fairly standard carland pub with the section out back with ping pong and stuff and an American food truck with slightly lower prices than most pubs being the only redeeming features. Also significantly lower beer prices than the Caringbah Hotel, that was very unexpected.
If you aren’t going as a big group with noisy kids don’t go. It was loud and the food was very average. The staff choose to play loud dance music to drain out the kids screaming which pretty much puts off most diners who aren’t their age. As for the food there was no love in any of it. The satay sauce for the chicken skewers tasted like it came out of a jar and it was cold. The healthy bowl was very average which was suppose to have roasted pumpkin but it was boiled and the lemon dressing tasted like mustard more than anything. I think it was suppose to have almonds but don’t see any. Pick included. The burgers from the “truck” looked good but that is about it.
