A visit to Tokyo is not complete for us without stopping at Terres de Truffes, located near Gaiemmae station on the Ginza line. We make sure to write a review every couple of years to show our appreciation for this restaurant. We usually opt for the long and relaxed lunch, which never fails to impress us. The manager, Hosoyosan, is incredibly professional, welcoming, and accommodating, making our dining experience exceptional. The staff are also fantastic and always ready to assist with any English needs. During our recent visit, my wife enjoyed the course lunch for a certain amount of yen, while I had the course for a different amount of yen, and both were absolutely worth it. The selection of wines by the glass is impressive, and the Kir Royale cocktails to start with were perfect. Each course was not only imaginative and well-presented but also delicious. Despite the change in chefs to Nakamurasan, the quality of Terres de Truffes has remained consistent, which is often not the case in such transitions. My wife cannot stop raving about the dessert of vanilla ice cream with truffled caramel sauce, which she describes as elegant and decadent. While not cheap, the dining experience at Terres de Truffes is well worth the cost, especially compared to other expensive restaurants in Tokyo. Give this gem in Tokyo a try, you won't regret it.
