Smoke Shack - Milwaukee

Food was good but having to pay $7 for bread tells you they don’t understand how BBQ works.

The food was expertly cooked and the waitstaff was friendly. I highly recommend trying the sampler.

I went there for the purpose of getting ribs and when we ordered our server told us he just sold the last rack of ribs! It was only 5:45 PM, so I surprised and disappointed that a barbeque restaurant would run out of ribs that early. So we ordered the 3 meats combo which was tasty and done nicely. We also enjoyed the fried cheese curds and fried pickles happy hour appetizer which was very good. Service was good. The place was not busy at all which was also surprising because in the past when we've been there on a weeknight it's been quite busy.

The food was oily, the sangrias were lacking in flavor, and the decor was interesting.

My family of five adults enjoyed a fantastic meal at this restaurant! We were impressed by the drinks, food, and service. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys smoked meat.
