Stopped here for two nights. The FOH staff were welcoming but made it known they weren't happy when we asked to eat in the restaurant early evening/late afternoon, as they were busy. Although tables were reserved, the pub was quite empty during our meal. The room was very expensive for the quality of room and breakfast. A handful of boxed cereals and jug of orange juice was a dissappointing buffet breakfast and the vegan breakfast was very greasy. The owner thought he was hilarious but he was very insulting. A quieter night apparently according to my family, but nonetheless the food was fantastic. Smaller menu but everything cooked to perfection and so tasty, pies as they should be! Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips

Extremely welcoming host, linen table knapkins in a pub restaurant, superb! Tidy place, smart menu with a decent choice of foods. Excellent burgers. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
