Montana's Rib Chop House, Miles City

We had received several recommendations to dine here, so we decided to give it a try. After checking out the Yelp reviews, one member of our group ordered the ribs while the other two opted for the rib eye steak. We also shared some fried green tomatoes, which were the best I've ever tasted. The drinks were nice and cold, and the steaks were cooked to perfection. However, the ribs were unfortunately the worst we had ever encountered. They were overcooked, dry, and so charred on the outside that it felt like biting into charcoal. Our server promptly put in a new order, but the replacement ribs were just as disappointing. While the meal for the person who ordered the ribs was comped, only our server offered an apology. We'll definitely return, but we won't be ordering the ribs again. By the way, the individual who received the poor meal was an out-of-state visitor, and this experience didn't leave a very good impression of Montana.

This is the best steakhouse in the country! It surpasses Ruth's Chris, Morton's, and any other upscale steakhouse out there. The service is excellent, and the prices are reasonable.

Don't arrive at 9:45 PM, or you'll end up with a steak that's overcooked and tough, along with a cold potato.

This restaurant offers incredible food and excellent service. It would definitely earn 5 stars if it weren't for the need for some soundproofing on the walls, as it's not the perfect spot for a quiet meal. The steaks, desserts, gumbo, ribs, and just about everything else on the menu are all delicious.

This place is now closed by the health department.
