Bidra med feedbackBrought 2 friends back after we had a Wonderful dinner a few weeks ago . Last night was terrible . Fried green tomatoes are not the same ,, meals were mediocre Took forever and ever to order and receive our drinks , almost 30 minutes . The flies were absolutely horrible .. I was so embarrassed that I had spoken so highly of your restaurant and it was a huge disappointment. We drove 30 minutes to get there : ... I had thought this was going to be my go to place but not after last night . Chad was apologetic and we could clearly see this was out of his control .
I really wanted to like this place, but it was pretty disappointing. I ordered the poutine, I spend a lot of time in Canada and love poutine. When it came there was no gravy. My fries were in a broth. Literally a liquid broth, no gravy. I don't know if that was a mistake or what... But that's not poutine. My fries were soaked and soggy.. the cheese curds never melted cause it didn't come in contact with anything hot. The gravy in poutine is meant to go on top of the curds and melt them. But because it was 100% liquid it just sat in the bottom of the bowl. It was disgusting. I would have sent it back, but we had a friend from out of town with us and I didn't want to make the experience uncomfortable. But, if they don't know the proper way to make poutine they should just take it off the menu.
I suggested this place based on the old owner “The Corner”. It turned out to be a mistake. When we got there our group we couldn’t hear each other talk because the music was so loud. We ordered and once we got our food everybody basically said the food was so bland, it had no flavor. Except for the honey glaze chicken. We all drove along ways, and were disappointments. On a beautiful summer day, the vibe here was really fun. My wife and I sat outside, and simply enjoyed eating someplace without the kids for a while. It was quiet but vibrant, and the food was awesome. There was a lawn out back that had corn hole and other games set up that I assume was for diners waiting for meals, but I don't actually know. Might be kinda fun to take your kids and send them outside to throw bean bags while you and your spouse eat dinner together.
The food was good, but the wait time was extraordinary long. Sunday brunch time .ay not be the time to visit. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
