Watering Hole - Metro Manila

We started our meal with the Chicharong-Bulaklak appetizer, which was beautifully seasoned and crispy. I opted for the crispy boar belly which was good, but not necessarily outstanding for its price. The dish was indeed crispy, but I prefer my binagoongan to be a bit saltier and with more of a kick. The beef stroganoff was a bit runny but had good flavor. The buttermilk chicken was also tasty, deboned, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. It was served with a delicious gravy, though the dish could have stood on its own without it. My dining companion enjoyed the potatoes that came with their meal, but I would have preferred a bit more butter on them. Although we were the only patrons dining outside, we received attentive service throughout our meal. The pricing was reasonable for the quality of the food and the portions. In total, our bill came to $30 for three people, including three main dishes and a starter, with the service fee already included.

We tried the grilled tuna belly, and it was fantastic! All of the dishes we ordered received a 5 out of 5 rating. The staff was extremely friendly and even helped us with recommendations on the best travel routes in Manila.

I was pleasantly surprised by the menu at Watering Hole. I had never realized it was a Filipino food spot. While I wasn't blown away, Watering Hole is just one of many restaurants that offer typical Filipino dishes like kare-kare, sinigang, and adobo. It was nothing particularly special, but... probably a bit pricey. I did appreciate the way the steamed rice was served in a small caldero.

If you visit bgc be sure to eat here for a bite, they will not be disappointed. on the forbestown road near the many other bars and restaurants. popular with tourists and businessmen. beautiful mix of traditional and modern Filipino food. some European and US courts as well. I can recommend the egg-benedict as a healthy start to her day completely! staff very friendly and helpful.

Watering hole is our go-to-place for brunch. Not only is it conveniently located in the center of burgos circle, their food and customer service is excellent. Their wagyu beef tapa is my default order but we also have tried their sinigang, kare-kare, spicy tuyo and...all are equally good. Will definitely keep coming back.
