#ReviewFromDenmark Being a tourist in Torre Faro is a great experience, as the locals are trying their best to guide you through your needs even though many of the locals doesn’t know a single word of English. This place has it all, though. We got serviced by an excellent English speaking waitress, who took us through the menu, so that we weren’t in doubt about what we would get. This was an experience that can’t be compared to many other restaurants in Torre Faro even though the food level is very high here. Sfizi Frittis’ menu is primarily based on seafood from their own ocean (which you have the view of, while you’re eating there). We had a surprise dish for our starter, containing fried octupus, shrimps, calamari and small local fish, that swims between your legs, when you are swimming in the beach. For our main dish we chose pasta one with octupus and one with clams and mussels. These were amazing and even though they didn’t looked like the best quality, the food and the setup had its charm. Regarding the wine, we chose Di Giovanni Reverbero, Nero D’Avola (2021) a cheap wine with a high quality. You can also order food and wine from outside the menu and the waiters are pleased to tell you about it! For two persons, expect to use between 65 85€ (including a bottle of wine) but when you get home, you are surely pleased. Thank you for a great night and a great hospitality even though we went eating at finer places in the local area, this caught our attention most.
The location is peculiar...as simple as a fisherman's house and with a view on a landscape full of beauty and story. All the dishes were characterized by te freshness of the fish cooked, no matter it was grilled or fried. Mussels, shrimps and swordfish all accompanied with a surprising wine made in Sicily. Strongly suggested.
It s a simple place with nice person and good food ...just infront the sea side, so shame the wine selection is basic...but i will come back as possible
