Bidra med feedback1st thing youll b confronted with is 'youre not a regular '. Incredibly unwelcoming staff. The beautiful building intices you to go inside to see the interior and sample local ales but staff at best ignore you or are confrontational.dont bother
Used to be good (not so long ago) but now poor real ale and quite unfriendly. They don't really care though.
Clean and tidy, good range of drinks, bar staff were knowledgeable and helpful. A credit to the Wetherspoon company
The pub is on the Wetherspoons For Sale list and the sale can 't come soon enough. I visited this pub recently as I was in the area to meet a friend who was running late. It was a Saturday night. I found the staff to lack customer service and basic hygiene. The furniture and the floor are dirty; there 's a lot of dust on the floor and furniture and I wouldn 't touch their food with a barge pole. The staff have no idea how to hold a plate of food properly so as not to come in contact with the food. When your fingers are touching the food that you are serving, you will contaminate it sooner or later. The food looked like dog 's food; it was obvious that no care and attention had gone into preparing it. Wetherspoon 's reputation is ruined by that place!!!!! In addition, the staff don 't make people feel welcome in that pub. As you walk in, they stare at you, not a smile, no hello....nothing!!!!!There 's a group of rowdy, aggressive 'regulars ' at the front of the pub and it 's definitely not a family-friendly pub!
I visited this pub with a group of friends. I found the staff friendly and pleasant. Food was lovely, served quickly and tasty. Great selection of real ales, larger, craft bottles and cocktails! If you don't want to sit out the front of the pub there is a peaceful, pretty beer garden in back. Overall, after my experience here I will definitely be back.
