Big Apple Plate - Merrillville

This was so Mf Good. lol they just need to start seasoning the meat a lil better. i got like a cali bowl or some like this with shrimp. it’s was definitely enough food, worth the 20 i paid for it. i’d recommend this place

My hubby and I wanted to try something new and since I had picked up a few deliveries from Big Apple Plate and the food smelled heavenly, I decided we should try them out. We were waited on by a sweet young lady, I'd love to give her props but didn't catch her name, and Mohammed (I hope I spelled it right who is a Marine veteran. I ordered the Casteletta and my hubby got the lamb kabob. Both came with the best yellow rice/pilaf this side of Gary/Merrillville, and pita bread laid on top of sliced tomato's, and cut lettuce. (Might I take a moment to discuss the pita bread? I have never seen anything so fluffy, perfectly warmed and the taste... It delicately flavored I think with the juices from the meat that made up my meal. Hands down the best pita bread I've ever had! The meal also comes with a creamy sauce that can be drizzled over whatever you choose to drizzle it over. It too tastes out of this world!!! If you want the perfect flavor of juicy, tender meat, rice pilaf, and pita bread, you will not be disappointed! It is my greatest pleasure when I can give an awesome review of a restaurant and state that they met the visual, smell and taste requirements when it comes to their food. I will definitely be back, and will be bringing my son, so he too can experience pure food bliss! Customer service was 5 stars, Cleanliness of the dining area was 4.5, ambience I will not score as thanks to Covid many newer places haven't had time to set up their dining rooms, and older restaurants have had to block off eating areas for social distancing. You can eat inside Big Apple but we chose to do take out as I had deliveries to make. The overall experience I rate a 5 star and I really encourage people to check Big Apple Plate out. You will not be disappointed!

Jehad, Mohammed, and Summer always take great care of their customers. Great food, great service. Angus burger is one of the BEST. If Jehad makes it, it’s even better. 5/5!

Absolutely delish! Seasoned to perfection! Huge servings..I could only eat half but I kept going back for more! I will definitely go back!??
