My Christmas present to myself is a trip to my favorite haunt on the coast. Located in the heart of beautiful Mendocino California, this gem is a must to try when you visit. The owners have brought the best of Italy to Northern California and everyone that enters is treated like family. The staff is very knowledgeable, entertaining and extremely attentive. The atmosphere both inside and outside is second to none with every detail thought of and shared with you. I have tried everything on the menu so you can not go wrong with any of the meals deserts or specials, while their beer and wine list pairs perfectly. I had the Carbonara which was bravissimo celebrate a holiday meal or special occasion here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ehat can I say about Luna Trattoria other than it was one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. I had high expectations for this restaurant and even they were exceeded. Though I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance because walking in could bring you to an hour long wait with no guarantees of actually being seated. With our reservation we were able to get seated with no wait whatsoever. The service was amazing and all the waiters had an amazing energy to them as well as the building overall. The feeling of the restaurant as a whole was very welcoming and authentic. As we ordered we didn't even notice how much time had passed until we got our food, but that may just be from the good company. The food was amazing every single dish that we ordered did not disappoint, and the chocolate moose was delightful!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to come back Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Luna was the perfect place to have a birthday celebration for my amazing mom. The outside space was magical, the food to die for and the service, well, we were treated like family. Thank you Jessica, Michelle and Elijah. We will be back soon.
