The Mendip Inn

The staff at this restaurant are extremely welcoming and the menu is great for both lunch and dinner. We ordered the beef and stilton ciabatta with chips and a side salad, and it was delicious!

We reserved 2 rooms at the Mendip Inn while visiting family for the Easter weekend. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and shown to the Puddle Duck and Bird Cage rooms. Both rooms were cozy, with comfortable beds and unique decor. The roll top bath and rainfall shower in the Puddle Duck room were delightful. The bedding and towels were of high quality. The only downside was the lack of hanging space for clothes, although there were 3 hooks provided with coat hangers. This was not a major issue for a short stay. While breakfast was not served in the restaurant, breakfast bags were left outside our rooms for the morning. We dined in the restaurant and the food was delicious, especially the desserts. The atmosphere was friendly and the overall value for our stay was excellent. We may consider returning in the future. Thank you.

Great Sunday lunch. The Mendip Inn served great food, the restaurant was bright and airy, (lots of good spacing between tables), and the service was superb. Great value for money too!

Me and my Partner were looking for somewhere close by for a meal out, we decided to go here which we had never been before. It is a very nice, relaxing and stylish pub feels so cosy, both meals were amazing I had the specials curry and it was probably one of the best I've had. The staff were so welcoming and friendly would defo come back again.

The Mendip Inn is just that: an old building at a crossroads in Somerset, with four rooms as well as a restaurant area and bar. It’s so much more as an experience, though. First and foremost, we were made to feel really welcome and thoroughly enjoyed speaking with everyone working there: friendly, good fun and genuinely helpful people. Next, the food is a revelation! Absolutely great stuff. I’d go back there any day. The rooms are cosy and quirkily decorated. It’s not a breakfast place (you’ll get a little bag with orange juice, an apple and snacks) but lunch and dinner more than make up for it. Enjoy!
