Bidra med feedbackWe visited this pub at two locations once as little men only group hoped to watch a rugby that we did and found the personal and the clientele, extremely friendly and immediately calm us. the second visit was the same day. as a large family group for an evening meal that was once again booked the staff was exceptional and eating was excellent without a single complain. the icing on the cake was the renter offers four of our party a lift to our accommodation while we fought, they find a taxi.
Had a family boxing day lunch today eating came very fast, even if very buzy! portion sizes very generous. four different meal times all very tasty would be highly recommended and very reasonable.
Last Sunday evening we called oktober) with the family from lancashire. we had great service and excellent very reasonable prices. I recommend the steak and the Ale Pie. the portions are very generous and a beautiful cheap bottle pinot grigio . there was no pressure to buy more drinks. it is nice to open them on Sunday evening, in contrast to many other restaurants.
Not eating fine on some wise simply good, old-fashioned pub grub and this is not a critique but a compliment. good quality fresh eating and seriously large portions as well. we all enjoyed our meal and would not hesitate to come back if. in the opposite nice selection to be a friendly, helpful staff and the pub has a nice atmosphere, we chat to some really nice regulars. it is also a super small village
On passing through we stopped here for some bar snacks but when we saw the menu and all the people eating we just had to stop. Although it was a Tuesday Lunchtime the place was really busy and the lone barman was working his socks...and giving excellent service. I ordered Haddock off the specials board and my wife Steak pie. Both were excellent in both quality and quantity. I wanted to try their Sticky Toffee Pudding but no room! They keep good ale too. We will certainly stop here again when passing through.
