Ricardo's Trattoria - Melbourne

Once again Riccardos's was a pleasure to dine at. I went for my birthday lunch and it was fantastic. The staff always remember you by name, go above and beyond to provide excellent service and are always willing to make extra effort. The special veal scallopini was delicious as was the eye fillet and the baked chicken with pecorini. Starched white table cloths and an intimate vibe make this what I believe to be the best Italian restaurant in Melbourne. Looking forward to returning very soon.

This is my favorite restaurant in melbourne, if not only my favorite restaurant in general. it is always delicious and secret. it is a local gem, so the owners and employees know them and are always warm and welcoming. eating is really good. the menu is a mix of basics like lasagne, but then there is a constantly changing special table with beautiful creations. almost any dish can be made starter size or main meal size. When I first came here, I had the lasagna, and it was one of the best I ever had. but after that I tried her chicken tortellini and I never looked back. I haven't found this anywhere else, and it's honestly the best pasta dish that I had quite anywhere. desserts change either weekly or monthly, but they are on a rotation so that they will eventually see a favorite again. the only light negatiw I could say here is that it is a small space so that it can be very cramped here. but to consider how friendly staff, good eating, easy parking and a beautiful atmosphere, makes this even bearable. I recommend ricardo’s very. eccellente!

I want to thank Ricardo’s for accommodating our last-minute reservation for a group of people in their private room. We were able to gather, share food, and reminisce after attending the funeral of a dear friend. The service was warm and the food was delicious, making it the perfect spot for our gathering.

The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance and the staff is very welcoming. They offer a few top-notch specials in addition to their regular menu. It was a fabulous night, complete with the customary "happy birthday" song performances. The only downside was that the beer options were quite limited, with some items even out of stock.
