Bidra med feedbackThere, where until the summer the Indian restaurant Holi was in Meißen, you will find the new restaurant Agra. The operators of the new Indian restaurant “AGRA”, which also operate the restaurant “Jaipur” on Louisenstraße in Dresden, have demonstrated taste in the design of the inner area. The walls are covered with carved wooden claddings, which are designed with subtle painting in brown and yellow shades. The guests sit on padded, richly decorated armchairs. I am invited by the customer for lunch and I am surprised: For 6.50 euros there is a lunch buffet – all you can eat. In addition to fresh, crispy papadam (thin fried fries made of lentil flour, seasoned with pepper and cumin), there are olives, various spicy and mild peperoni, fresh cucumber and tomato slices, various mixed salads and four different dips from which the appetizer or the supplement can be assembled. The main dishes are: Murgh Korma ( chicken with raisins, almonds, coconut with cashew curry sauce), Murgh Curry ( chicken with garlic, ginger in curry sauce) and fish Tikka (laid fish in paprika, onions, garlic and ginger in Tikka sauce). As a supplement, Agra offers fried rice with green peas, Sabje Krahi (different vegetables in tomatoes, herbal sauce) and Palack Panie (indian cream cheese in seasoned spinach). In short, no one of the foods offered has anything to taste: The spinach is finely chopped, still cooked a little bit bit, the cream cheese is pleasantly spicy. The chicken dishes, both curry-based, radiate a fine own taste. Meat is tender and also abundant for men. This also applies to the fish that tastes very good to me. The rice is pretty solid without being dry. A really successful meal, but also very focused on our Central European taste. To whom this is not spicy or sharp enough, it can help with the sharp dips that have been added. We liked the spice offered, you can always make sharper, vice versa it doesn't work. I drank a large apple choir for € 1.70 for the lunch table. In the end, €8.20 was on the bill for me, and for an excellent food plus drink. I think it's absolutely competitive in Meissen. Maybe it's because it could be an introduction. Anyone who loves Indians, and as we often look past the Jaipur in Dresden, for whom the new Agra is definitely recommended.
During the week we stayed in meißen we have eaten several times here. lunch table (buffet) and dinner are both very...More
Were the first time here and are still enthusiastic about eating. not only the variety of dishes, but also the various stated sharpness were amazing. everything we had ordered came in fresh at the table, without huge waiting times! it is guaranteed something for every taste. the service was very friendly and accommodating and could give good recommendations for the choice of meals. wonderful kitchen. price - performance ratio was completely ok.Come back very much.
From outside, the restaurant looks a bit inconspicuous. we have probably always been passing by for years instead of returning. Now we wanted to know it exactly and presumed, we are thrilled. we were welcomed by the service very friendly and felt comfortable in the Indian flair immediately. as an appetizer we chose Indian fladenbrot (bhatura) with different dips. as main food various dishes from the Tandoori oven. all the dishes came in reasonable time and were tastefully very good and also abundant. the prices are absolutely limited for this good quality. it was a completely successful evening. we have already a good one with the fuchshohl in meissen, so the agra is even higher. Conclusion: who likes the Indian cuisine is always right here. we have a new favorite Indian!
