Restaurante Santa Rosa - Maxcanú

This was a great lunch spot on the way to the Celestun preserve (flamingos). Sta. Rosa is one of the most beautiful haciendas in the Yucatan well worth the detour. We ordered panuchos, poc chuc, hamburgers, salad. Panuchos were good. Hamburgers they did...not have, Poc chuc good, salad good with the exception of serving with one leaf of wilted lettuce. That aside, the hacienda is like brigadoon, with a lively little village within its gates.

During our night stay, we ate all meals except one here and never tired of the menu (though it is somewhat limited). Prices were surprisingly reasonable with dinner entrees in the range at current exchange rates. And service was consistently excellent. Even if...you don't stay at the Hacienda, do stop by for a meal if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect place! It's beautiful! Building is amazing, food is perfect! I highly recommending this place for visit for day, but better to stay here several days! Everything is perfect here!
