Riverview Chipstand - Mattawa

We shared a small poutine, and it was the perfect snack. The woman working there was very friendly.

I've been coming to Riverview since the 80s, and it continues to impress with its delicious burgers, hot dogs, fries, and, of course, poutine. The charming location offers stunning views of the Ottawa River and the wild landscapes of Quebec. Just a few days ago, I had the pleasure of satisfying my cravings there once again. After two years, I was delighted to discover that my beloved Mattawa poutinery had weathered the pandemic.

I’ve been visiting this restaurant since I was a child, when it was owned by friends of my family. The new owners have maintained the poutine’s excellent quality, just like before. It’s been one of my favorite places to eat for the last 20 years!
