Matraville Chickens

This has been my local place to grab fish and chips, and the food is great. The lady at the counter is extremely friendly. The prices are very reasonable, too. Don't expect anything fancy beyond what you'd get from a neighbourhood chicken shop, but the food is AWESOME! And reasonably priced, too!

This is my go-to place for great fish and chips. I usually get fish cocktails rather than a fish fillet. Either way the fish is fresh, flaky and well-cooked. The chips are excellent: crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. F&C is served with complimentary tartare sauce and a wedge of lemon. There are numerous Indian dishes in the bain marie, however, they seem slow to sell and I have not yet tried them.

Stunningly cheap and good portions. The yellow chips of your childhood. Good fish, and amazing calamari. It's the corner shop of your childhood if you grew up in a semi rural area. Also fast if you're a couple of people. Doesn't cope with ~25 person orders at a time though.

Bangin meals, I recommend the Porto burger with spicy Mayo and the chips.definitely the best burgers I’ve had. Owners are very nice and kind.

Always nice burgers, the chips are the best and there's a good selection of food that's always nice and fresh. They have had the same staff for as long as I can remember and the shop/kitchen is always nice and clean. Rated 5 never had a bad feed there.
