Bidra med feedbackReally-it is the best I’ve tried in Portugal! We ordered grilled sardines, squid ,salad, house wine, cookie pie and a coffee and paid-23 euro!!! It’s really cheap but food is amazing!! Moreover they serve boiled potatoes with those dishes so you donut have to order it separately.cookie pie was so delicious and actually I don’t like sweets too much.and the wine ...we were tasting it in a lot of places afterwards but there I liked the most!!
Very affordable and delicious. Local and friendly. Dont miss it. İt is not on the main sea road but worth going in. Not touristy at all. Order their calamari w/ french frize and wine. Cheap and tasty
Horrível I've been a customer for 20 years and since the last visits I didn't like the way Mr Silva responded to customers.....but I always let it go. Today we went to dinner we ordered Sardines and Squids. The sardines came and they served the customer on the side who had arrived much later with the squid. Immediately I complained and Mr Silva arrogantly replied that my squid was walking. I waited, waited, waited...... and after my mother-in-law had finished dinner, I complained again and Mr. Silva's answer was that he would see and that it was not his fault shakes the water off his coat). After 5 minutes he came to tell me that they had been wrong but in a boastful way. I already had dinner... I asked for the bill, paid for the sardines and salads and went to complain to the boss who was at the grill. When I thought the old man was going to apologize......the answer was: if you're already at dinner, it's because you're not hungry. My money never goes in there again. Horrible
During my recent trip to Porto I was told to go to Matosinhos for seafood. Easy trip to there by metro. Walking the streets, the air is filled with the smell of grilled fish. Just chose this small and unassuming restaurant by chance. Service is curt and brisk, friendly enough, it 's mostly a local affair here; some English spoken. Chose the 'standard ' grilled sardines, accompanied by cooked potatoes and grilled peppers and onionrings, and a small bottle of vinho verde. The combination of tastes was just superb! Actually my best meal in Porto.
Very friendly and attentive staff. The sardines and pork loin was grilled to perfection and overall the plates were pretty big, coming with chips and boiled potatoes respectively and the chips were hand-cut and some of the best I've ever eaten. The salad is worth ordering on the side as it was very very tasty. The deserts are lovely and home made. The value for money factor is big in this place! Definitely recommendable.
