Churrascaria Fogo De Chao - Matosinhos

Although this is supposed to be a meat restaurant (churrascaria), there was a lack of meat types and also the serving frequency was below average. The service was also terrible. If you want a tasty churrasco, don’t go to this place.

Unfortunately the strong side of portugal is not on the barbecue. Even though there are Brazilians working in this restaurant, certain miracles are difficult to happen. The meat served is too hard and too dry. The beans taste like Mexican food. What saves this place is the modern bathroom because you will need one. The service is good. But what good is having a good service if the product is medium?

If you're thinking this is the same type of rodizio/service as a Fogo de Chao in Houston or even in Sao Paulo, forget it. This is a very poor cousin with poor service, bad food but much cheaper prices.

The food is affordable and the quality is good, but it could certainly be better. However, you get plenty of food served, the staff is very kind and is fluent in English. The atmosphere is probably better when sitting inside the restaurant.
