Bidra med feedbackThe restaurant was bustling with activity, but we still managed to have a pleasant experience. The service was prompt, and the friendly staff offered us samples of their dishes.
Great selection of dishes! Be prepared for long lines at times. The chocolate sundae I ordered ended up being quite soupy, so just a heads-up on that one.
First-time experience. Absolutely unacceptable! On Sunday afternoon, I decided to stop at Favoris to get a treat for my wife. The dessert display was filled with incredible options. I chose the warm chocolate brownie, which came with ice cream, three little pieces of chocolate, and chocolate syrup displayed alongside it. When I requested whipped cream instead of ice cream, I was told, "That's an extra charge!" And the three pieces of chocolate? Another extra charge! The staff member made a sour face but decided not to charge for the whipped cream, even though I hadn’t wanted the ice cream in the first place. She insisted that the chocolate pieces would definitely cost extra! I ended up spending $8.75 without ice cream or chocolate, when this would have cost at least $12. The whole situation feels like corporate greed to me. You don’t put a pizza slice on display and then say, "Sorry, the pepperoni and cheese are extra," right? Regardless of how good a company’s product is, don’t engage in false advertising!
I want to thank the cashier for assuming that my boyfriend was buying a box of chocolates for his mother. It was actually for our one-year anniversary, but given our age difference, I couldn’t help but burst out laughing when I saw that they were labeled for Mother’s Day. It was partly his fault for not checking what was being put in the bag, and I could tell he was mortified and embarrassed. Honestly, I haven’t laughed this hard since lockdown began!
The chocolate-dipped ice cream is delicious, but it's far too sweet for my taste—I can only manage a few bites. I wish they offered more menu items at reasonable prices, as there isn’t much that catches my interest. I do enjoy the poutine, but there are hardly any fries in it, making it not worth my money or time. In short, I only visit occasionally to please my partner, but I wouldn't come on my own.
