Il Camporosso is an agriturismo in Martinengo in the province of Bergamo, obtained from a 16th century farmhouse. The farmhouse, has three dining rooms that conserve arches and exposed beams in brick and stone, perfect for hosting wedding receptions. It is possible to taste traditional recipes that make use of the ingredients of their own farms and crops: beef and poultry; vegetables and cereals, in addition to products of their own making such as pasta and cheese.
The place was extremely popular and busy. There is a fixed menu so the positive is that once we were seated they immediately brought out water and red wine as well as the entree, a plate of small goods, salami, pancetta and prosciutto, a taste of crostini with lardo, polenta with melted cheese and a cured cheese with jam, all delicious. Then they served a risotto with pancetta and pears and meet filled ravioli. After we had two mains, beef tagliata with rocket and parmesan and finely cut lonza with balsamic vinegar. Following we had a choice of one of six desserts, we tried crostata with fruit and a cake with chocolate, custard and raspberry. We concludes with a coffee. The servings were extremely generous and the whole service impeccable. A must do if you are in the area!
Beautiful location but little attention to details. we stayed today at lunch with a family of friends and even if the cutting boards of excellent meat and cheeses and plentiful the first and second left a little to want. we served a pasta dish, according to them made in the house, but instead I would say absolutely dry pasta of different types, ravioli also to my industrial opinion, with a package of strawberries that left us a. the good roast but the pork fillet too cooked and the outside to the limit of the burned. the thing that however disturbed us more is that while having at our table of 8 people 3 children who ate only two slices of roast with potatoes and despite having specified that the first and second had to be for 5 people and not for 8 they wanted to pay the full price ... we managed to load 2 girls 20€ instead of 35 , the third child instead full price ... but the fact that however the food brought on board was not 5 coming too bad because really nice position.
