Bidra med feedbackAmazing outlook and eating was okay. it didn't try something complicated, but the staff was fast and very friendly. they even brought my food faster because I said I am hungry and looking for a quick bite.
Previously we drove with this restaurant when I was younger, with my parents, and we laughed earlier about the name of the place. but we stayed there for the first time recently and we had great lunch "filets de perche the speciality of. the house of the waiter was really funny and nice to us and we spent a wonderful moment, admire the view of the valley.
Probably a good idea place to visit on the way to chamonix nice and good location with best ambiente to lunch
We were here for lunch (fondue, view of the vallée and Alps) before going together to the Cézanne exposition in Martigny. We were hoping for a great fondue on a crisp fall day on the terrace in the Sun. The service was at best average.. only one waitress for inside and the terrace not really her fault. The Three Cheese Fondue was far too sweet, it could have been the Vacherin, the Val de Bagne the Kirsch or something else. The Consistency was great but the acidity and bite was far too bland. I would suggest that the place offers at least two versions of cheese fondue traditional Valaisane and a. more traditional Gruyère/ Vacherin style, the mushrooms, shallots, tomatoes would be an easy and welcome addition. Be really careful of the parking dangers this place is on a hairpin curve in the Alps with cars coming up and going down the mountain at relatively fast speeds. The Motorcyclists are probably the greatest danger. With a few changes in the service and the menu, this could be a hot tourist spot overlooking Martigny!!
In these tough times, I think restaurants should have a look at the uk, because over here though people may think our food is poor, its not strictly true, you can get any type of food in the u.k in a decent restaurant for to cheaper than I was paying in switzerland and france, this was such a nice restaurant , the setting the decor first class, the food though not large portions was very tasty i had the roesti poulet with couple of drinks almost euros, now that may be the normal price and people pay it, but almost all the restaurants i visited were very quiet, ,
