Barnacles Fish and Chips - Maroubra

As I was ordering the guy just spoke with someone else ingnoring 3 times what I was saying. Then I had to pay 3 $ for a souce as the next person who ordered the same just got 2 sauces for free. The food was good, however I can not recommend this place.

Maroubra beach has always been my favourite - despite Bondi being so popular, and the fish and chips are an absolute must! Paired with tartar sauce and a lemon slice, these are amazing to enjoy! Watch out for the seagulls as this is also their favourite on the beach!

A journey has taken place in this fish and chips shop you can see the old shop under a coat of paint and the many CCTV cameras to catch Seagulls entering to pinch chips >Like most Fish and chips the hey days have come and gone and the grill straight out of the fiftys says it all FYI in my opinion if you have a style of shop like this don't do renos on cheap and then price you food thru the roof , first impression stay with you when you walk thru a door .Overall the food was nice clean and served with a nice conversation this was during the week when there was little to no patrons and the display cases where empty which reflects the lack of turnover during week but the weekends I would say are busy from the conversation . Overall don't worth a revist unless you where a local .

Nice sunny day so why not some fish and chips in Maroubra. Barnacles is only relatively new and seems to do a good trade judging by the queue out the door. Smallish selection of food, but its well cooked and fresh. Takes a little while to be served, but you can sit in the sun outside and enjoy the passing parade'.

Awesome food and service!!!! Enough for 2 person, big portions with salad!!! Must Rico! Pedimos Ina porción para dos y a penas pudimos terminar!! La atención en muy buena divertida! Vale la pena!
