Bidra med feedbackFood is decent Korean BBQ and home grown Korean food and soups. However I do not want to focus there, the service they give there is terrible, very rigid and have absolutely no sense of customer experience! From the start it was horrid, my sister wanted to have just soup and not the all you can eat BBQ and our server actually asked her to move to a different table...A DIFFERENT TABLE...but since we were there as a family we opted to just buy another all you can eat so my sister doesn't have to leave the table, then come the meal, she just slammed all our food to the table instead or serving them properly, finally when it came to the bill despite the horrid service we still opted to leave a small amount of tip, and while we were leaving our horrid server actually stopped us from leaving with her very broken English and said..."BBQ hard work tip is not enough" since when was tipping not enough for bad service, this restaurant is DESPICABLE and I would never recommend this place to anyone and would recommend everyone to not patronize this place lots of options in town and this should never be in your list of places to go to.
Great, prompt and friendly service in a bright, big, clean space. Large selection of fresh Korean food served with little dishes of fresh kimchi, pickle radish and many others. This was our 2nd visit, arriving at close to 10pm both times and we were greeted warmly with a pot of hot tea both times and not rushed. We have tried several items on the menu and have not been disappointed!
The GamJaTang was a pork bone soup with potatoes and vegetables and rice for just $7.99! It was hot and bubbling when it arrived to the table. The soup wasn’t very spicy but it was oh-so-delicious! I tried a bit of it too and loved how tender the pork was. It fell off the bone and was incredibly tasty. It was perfect for my mom who likes spicy foods.
With branches scattering around the GTA, this ' pseudo-chain ' establishment managed to fill voids in certain area of town and offer decent Korean fare at a slightly raised price point. Our dinner of traditional Korean BBQ beef ribs, spicy tofu and Kimchee soups, grilled Mackerels...etc were nicely and generously augmented with 7 different and tasty side dishes. Overall quality was acceptable except the slightly dry and under-seasoned ribs. Soups were delicious with the right degree of spiciness and loaded with umami goodness. A tasty potato side dish shines.Unfortunately, our evening was spoiled by the restaurant's air conditioning breaking down rendering the place into a torturous heat sauna. How patrons can survive table top BBQ cooking in such condition is a huge mystery to me!
The galbi tang was so tough, I couldn't even bite into the meet. I gave up eating after trying to chew 2 pieces.
