Bidra med feedbackWe arrived at the restaurant at 9:40 pm and found that there were not many customers. After ordering our food, we waited for about 15 minutes but our appetizers were not served. When we inquired about it, we were told that we would have to wait for the rest of the food to arrive. Another 5 minutes passed and the waiter informed us that he had forgotten to place our order and that it would be a few more minutes. By this point, we had already been waiting for 20 minutes. When I asked for a specific time for the order to be ready, they could not provide one. I requested the appetizers again and the waiter initially tried to decline until another waitress overheard. This experience was ridiculous and showed poor customer service.
We revisited Nak Won in Markham for lunch, hoping for a similar experience to our last visit. Unfortunately, this time around, we were left disappointed. Firstly, the prices have increased since our last visit two years ago, with the Gambatang now costing $9.99 instead of $7.99. Secondly, it seemed that they were short-staffed as our food took a while to be served. In comparison, the nearby Owl Restaurant was much quicker. Additionally, we were not impressed to see the banchan already scooped out and left on the counter, exposed to air. This raised concerns about cleanliness and the possibility of insects. Furthermore, the banchan did not taste fresh - the pickled cucumbers were dry and pruney, and the vermicelli lacked its usual bouncy texture. Overall, the GamJaTang lacked flavor compared to the one at the Owl Restaurant.
My dining experience at Nak Won was fabulous. Despite the popularity of the restaurant, we didn't have to wait long for a table. The staff was busy but efficient, and we were quickly seated in a room with a Korean barbecue option. The food arrived promptly, and as a first-timer trying Korean cuisine in Canada, I must say that this place is fantastic! I particularly enjoyed a dish made with pork, sweet sauce, and fruit. With so many meal options available, I will definitely be returning.
Four of us were enjoying my lunch together. The food was good not great and the service was a little slow. I had the marinated pork lunch plate we seem to be the best meal of the four of us.
Food is decent Korean BBQ and home grown Korean food and soups. However I do not want to focus there, the service they give there is terrible, very rigid and have absolutely no sense of customer experience!!! From the start it was horrid, my sister wanted to have just soup and not the all you can eat BBQ and our server actually asked her to move to a different table...A DIFFERENT TABLE...but since we were there as a family we opted to just buy another all you can eat so my sister doesn 't have to leave the table, then come the meal, she just slammed all our food to the table instead or serving them properly, finally when it came to the bill despite the horrid service we still opted to leave a small amount of tip, and while we were leaving our horrid server actually stopped us from leaving with her very broken English and said... BBQ hard work tip is not enough since when was tipping not enough for bad service, this restaurant is DESPICABLE and I would never recommend this place to anyone and would recommend everyone to not patronize this place lots of options in town and this should never be in your list of places to go to.
