Chop, Block Brew At Harrah's Ak-chin

Went for the French Onion Soup. Very Salty. Very pricey. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

The food was pretty good, the service was average. The seating of guests seemed more about convenience for the servers. Most people were seated in the half booth half chair sections. This gave little to no privacy for couples on a getaway or dinner date. These seating arrangements were akin to a fancy food court. There were plenty of open tables where guests could have been spaced out for a more intimate environment or even just a private conversation without talking over the next table. The price of the entrees did not match the dining experience. A private booth at typical chain restaurant offers more privacy and a better vibe.

On July 13, 2023, I had dinner for two, and my bill was 11702448. Unfortunately, the chicken wing appetizer was served cold, and instead of the blue cheese I had requested, I received ranch dressing. The French onion soup was warm instead of hot, which is what you would expect from soup. The meatloaf dinner was also cold, and the mac and cheese side was served at the same temperature. If this meal hadn't been part of the weekly casino comp, I would have been more inclined to express my dissatisfaction. However, in this case, it didn't seem to matter much. It appears that while the staff may change, the quality of the food remains the same.

Additionally, since it was the 4th of July, we went to the pool area to watch the fireworks, only to be informed that the area was closed. We requested to stay until the fireworks concluded, but we faced constant pressure to leave until we eventually did. We will not be returning to Harrah's Ak-Chin in the future.

The food was excellent! I highly recommend making a reservation to avoid any wait times. Ratings: Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.
