Mcdivot's - Margate

I dined at this restaurant for the first time and was delighted by its lovely ambiance for brunch. The staff were incredibly friendly, which added to the experience. Although it may not be the most high-end establishment, the cozy atmosphere made it a truly enjoyable visit.

What a fantastic place! The food is absolutely delicious, and the dance floor is a blast. They have live music on the weekends, along with a mirrored ball that adds to the fun. The atmosphere is clean and very inviting. We have been here several times to celebrate both my anniversary and birthday parties.

We had also ordered a beautiful cake for our celebration that cost us $500. We know the cake designer well; she personally delivered it to ensure it arrived in good condition, and we confirmed that it looked fine upon arrival. However, when the waitstaff brought it out later, part of the cake was smashed. When we raised our concerns with the manager, he was unhelpful and indifferent. He attributed the moldy desserts to improper storage without offering an apology—just a flimsy explanation. He completely ignored our issue with the cake. As a meager form of compensation, they offered us two gift certificates for brunch, which we declined, as we had no intention of returning after this terrible experience. They did, however, remove the cost of one meal from our large party and waived the cake-cutting fee; this didn't matter much since the waitress disappeared and we had to cut the cake ourselves. I'm just hoping that no one ends up with food poisoning or worse from this place. All I can do is warn others to steer clear!

Though McDivot's wasn’t my kind of place, I’ll give it three stars because it was clear that the patrons were having a great time. Unfortunately, I just didn’t share in their enjoyment.

The evening atmosphere is lovely for sipping drinks with friends while enjoying a blend of classic songs and modern hits, featuring reggaeton, salsa, merengue, and bachata.
