The Lounge At Dolce Mare - Marco Island

Absolutely used to be addicted to this place... unfortunately it's obvious they no longer care. Last I went was about 6/7 years ago now it's bland looking chocolate nothing hand painted no decadent flavors the store was always immaculate not a speck on the glass shelves or dust or anything not anymore the shelves have so many crumbs I wouldn't be surprised if they had a bug problem!! and now it's a claustrophobia nightmare of red dye 40 candies and kids toys and some bicycle taking up precious shopping space for customers like what are they thinking??? Also gelato isn't real it's practically lightly flavored frozen cool whip! The worst of all though was no one looked happy to be working there they all stared at you blankly and they no longer greet you with a smile every time you come in. Disappointing to say the least! The new owners ruined this beautiful gem! :

Great deserts but even better staff! Such sweet ladies, noticed me looking at the cake and offered us a fresh carrot cake hot out of the oven for our birthday party. Great place to meet people from different places as well. Great experience

After a light dinner we headed over to Dolce Mare for some gelato. My friend got the mint chocolate chip and I got the everything but the kitchen sink, both were so good.

It's always fun when you're out walking after a big meal and you come across a sweet shop. Dolce Mare was a real find. Very clean and well organized, they had a nice selection of gelato. Definitely recommend and I look forward to a future visit. Slightly on the pricey side, but almost everything on Marco Island is.

We really like this place and the staff was very nice. We got strawberry cheesecake and mango ice and both were excellent. I would recommended having some soda options though. But overall very satisfied.
