Bidra med feedbackI had lunch in this restaurant and it was a pleasant second experience. Previously I was in the Christmas period and I found as well as an excellent quality/price ratio of beautiful Christmas decorations and a charming atmosphere. Yesterday I only had confirmation.... excellent appetizers, plentiful and tasty, good first, helpful and friendly staff, Francis friendly despite the local was full with the presence of a ceremony. The original furnishings! It was a confirmation. Next:
We stayed in the lunch restaurant on Sunday. We were immediately greeted with great kindness and helpfulness. The room is unique, furnished in a particular way and with room differences in the room. Overtime dishes, a special mention of cod. Get the first. Super recommended.
Pro: The room is very nice and original in the furnishings, the food is good and the staff is still kind. Beware of gluten-free. Against: although we had booked the table was not ready, it is set up in front of us with a stained tablecloth (we communicate it and provide it) and place us next to a group of children who was there with animation, for an event. Maximum confusion. The staff was almost absent throughout the dinner and was obviously tried, probably because insufficient to manage the hall. Fixed menu exposed to voice. Considered the late hour we had few options. High price commensurate with what we ate.
I always return very gladly to this place and surprises me in positive always both for the location and for the food. In summer it is possible to dine outside in a garden masterfully embellished with statues, lamps, mirrors and many other relics. Food is really good both for quality and as presentation of dishes. Particular mention for appetizers, both of land and of sea, that combine the tradition with the imagination and excellence of chef Antonio. Very well stocked wine list. Friendly service is also available thanks to the direction of Francesco, one of the owners. Free public parking less than 100 metres from the property. I recommend it to everyone, even to those who want to celebrate an event (e.g. graduation or birthdays) with friends and relatives.
Is it okay as a review? We booked quite late in the evening by going to us in person) , humbly asking if there were availability for 12 people 8 adults and 4 children) for that same evening. They say yes, they'd give us a room and show us. After about 40 minutes we go back to the restaurant to eat but we see that the room we had reserved was occupied by other tables. A change of program can be there, but an apology for this would have been more than welcome! But vabe... Without telling us anything they “slam” us in a hall next to the kitchen, small, with 3 medium/small separate tables, of which 2 rounds. We kindly ask to join a rectangular table and one round at least worse. We were a group of friends with 4 small children, it wouldn't make sense to separate us with the tables. In a very rude way, embossing and visibly irritated, we join the tables. We ask for the menu to order but they tell us it is not available. They tell us what is there. We insist on having a menu, in order to get an idea of food and its prices, but they deny it. I actually knew the prices, because I'm from Marcianise, I've been living abroad for years but I have my family members who usually attend the place). We ask for the wine menu and refuse to bring that too. My husband insists that we have an idea of the availability they have and, as it is right, of the price range. As we start ordering, we see that other people sit in the “our” same room. A gentleman and two waited ladies sit at the only table left free in the hall and every 15 minutes tell us to lower the voice I remember well that we had reserved a room just because we were in 12 with 4 small children). At one point, we see magically appear another table and sit in the same small room 2 other people. I think that in this restaurant they do not know the concept of “all full”. The food is coming. A mixed appetizer for everyone and another reach. Some of us have opted for a first, others for a second. The food was discreet, nothing to say. Discourse aside for the children's menu. I think I've seen serving the cotolettes of a smaller children's menu in the world! Literally! But let's go further... we order and receive 3 bottles of Chianti. Here comes the time of the account, very salty for what we ate and not in line with their usual prices that I know) A small portion squid frying) 20 euro Baby menu with large cutlet as the bottom of a glass, 11 euro. A bottle of Chianti paid 21 euros, evidently outside the price range shown on the wine card. Now, I understand it was the first day of opening after the holidays so I can understand the total absence of soft drinks, general disorganization, unupdated menus and anything else. But the incorrectness of the change of room and the adjustment of the prices towards a group formed to 99% from people NOT of Marcianise, well., this makes them real provincialotti! And writes it one that is of Marcianise, lives a stone’s throw from the restaurant, on the contrary, it can be said that he has seen it “be born” and knows how they work habitually. What to say, I think for my compaesani aesthetics a little out of the patterns and small portions of food in giant dishes make the local top. I urge them to look a little out of their orthogon to understand that it is much better located a few more steps away We booked quite late in the evening by going to us in person) , humbly asking if there were availability for 12 people 8 adults and 4 children) for that same evening.
