Blue Bonnet Cafe - MARBLE FALLS

I heard about the bluebonnet cafe and heard about her famous cake, but every time we drove off, we just went through. at this weekend we are in a mini holiday, so we finally managed to do it. the blueberry pancake with speck was superb, but note that these pancakes are giant. I got two, but could only finish half. we got cakes for naves and pumpkin for me, but we're too full to eat them. ? they will probably be dessert this evening a afternoon snack or snack. service was stellar, and while we wait about 15 minutes to get a table, it went fast and it was good to wait. obviously the 2 dozen people standing behind us felt the same!

This cafe is a gem. The food is freshly prepared and the service is fast and friendly. The large chicken fried steak and Mexican plate surpassed expectations! Our friends had an Omelette and liver onions. The pecan pie vanilla ice cream was excellent. Definitely will return. Don?t visit Marble Falls without stopping here! See my pics.

One tasty breakfast worth the 15 minute wait outside. I especially loved chicken fried steak and eggs. The best treat was the homemade bread/texas toast. Black coffee was perfect. We also got a slice of chocolate meringue pie. Worth the stop. Please do not skip this stop.

Did not get to dine in due to the Sunday lines so did a curbside pickup. As you can see I was feeding a small army so here are some highlights. The turkey and dressing special, catfish, and chicken tenders were delicious. The pie ranking was #1 apple, #2 chocolate, #3 peanut butter. Good food, friendly service, and good prices.

The Blue Bonnet Cafe is certainly a Texas landmark that you absolutely have to try. The pies are enormous and delicious along with the great tasting breakfast and lunch selections. I decided to have lunch on my last visit and settled for the pot roast. I must say it was as great as my mom's. I've had breakfast in the past which I also highly recommend. The wait can sometimes be a little long, but well worth your time. Highly recommended!!
