Bidra med feedbackIndian Masala is a hidden gem and definitely has a dive aesthetic which I think is charming. Probably my favorite Indian Restaurant in the Twin Cities area right now since the food is so flavorful. I love the buffet which accommodates people that are vegetarian/vegan and/or need to be gluten free. The Butter Chicken and Chicken Biryani are my favorites. Dietary restrictions: Most of the food accommodates gluten free diets
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Indian masala, that I would highly recommend to anyone in search of delicious cuisine and exceptional hospitality. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and kindness, which set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu boasted a plethora of tempting options, but I opted for the chicken chintamani, kodi vepudu, shrimp pepper fry, and goat chukka, all of which were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The tandoori chicken and samosas were also exceptional. Every dish was a culinary delight, leaving me feeling fully satisfied and eager to return. Beyond the exceptional food, the hospitality was top-notch. The staff was attentive, kind. Overall, I can recommend this Indian restaurant enough. It truly exceeded all expectations and left me with a wonderful lasting impression.
Hole in the wall, but was actually just a hole in the wall…. Not sure why we stayed after coming inside with my family for my birthday. Also, after making the assumption that “the look” of the place might mean very tasty authentic food as the place was not busy at all. Lighting was pretty dark but at least you’re able to see if you need a new cup or cutlery. Walking to our table you could hear my slides sticking to the floor with each step. However, the sound didn’t distract enough because you notice how the interior is very old and outdated with the bathroom to match….pretty run down even though it was usable. No music and awkwardly silent until I mentioned something. Gave us bottled water, but did not come back to ask if we wanted more or if we needed ice and I’m not sure if we got charged for the bottle waters or not. Food took awhile of time to come out but it could be the silence that made it feel that way. The mango lassi basically just tasted like mango and crushed ice blended together. Butter chicken was a bit too sweet and didn’t have much chicken in it which was a disappointment. It’s also not very spicy but it could have been because of how overly sweet it was. Naan was pretty decent and fresh but the pesto one is a bit over powering with the pesto. Portions are not the best and I would have expected a bit more over all. Y’all could definitely use a revamp but keep pushing forward!
We had a hankering for a good Indian lunch buffet and Rava dosa and headed half way across the city to Indian Masala. We’ve come here before and weren’t disappointed. DH had the lunch buffet (which had goat too! . He said it was very good. And only $14! Phenomenal deal these days. I was craving a dosa ordered my favorite, the Rava Masala Dosa. Came out crisp as a good Rava dosa should (though I would’ve liked it crispier and more brown , potato filling was very good, and dosa was extra spicy as I’d requested. Yum! Service was quite relaxed don’t expect fast and solicitous service here. My dosa took a while to show up even though the restaurant wasn’t full. We know to expect a lowish level of service in most authentic ethnic restaurants, so we were chill about it. When we waved the waiter over for additional sambar and chutney, he was pleasant and responsive. Place was clean and spacious, if a bit drab. Again, we were here for good food at a good price, so we didn’t mind at all. Highly recommend to everyone looking for the same!
Buffet of a wide variety of Indian food. All of the items were fresh, and tasted wonderful. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options were available
