The building of the Caritas is completely new, the opening was repeatedly postponed, on the 15th. August then opened the gates. If you read the map carefully, the restaurant was named after the pastor Landolin who worked at the Waldhof. However, Landolin is more interested in cooperation. Everything that is processed in the Landolin comes fresh into the restaurant: They value fresh, regional products: meat and bread are mostly covered by butchers and bakers. The fish comes from the Odenwald. The wines come partly from the Palatinate and the Baden Ländle. The location is usually very good here, not free our apartment is not 400 meters away. Many salads (Italian spgahettini, tomato mozzarella etc.), some meat dishes and isolated fish dishes are offered. We decide for the fitness salad as for a cordon ball of pig filled with cooking ham and emmentaler, on the map with rosemary ham and carrot vegetables. But I wanted to have Pommes instead of potatoes, which was not a problem. The two dishes were served appealingly. The fitness salad consisted of high quality rocket, green head salad, field salad, paprika, mushrooms, tomatoes, feta, pine nuts. The whole thing was made with a light yogurt dressing. I missed some acidity during dressing, but the flavor that my wife tasted. The Cordon Blau also tasted excellent. The panade of real spices, the meat wonderfully desired, juicy and soft. The ham and the cheese did not cover the pork taste, he supported him, that was really right, really good. I never had that before. Well made from raw potatoes brown fried, I ask, there are no pommes bags used, but made from fresh ingredients from the farmer. The small tubs had a light bite, were beautifully made with spices and fresh herbs. We had no room for a dessert, but the nightstands looked really good. The map contains some treats. From refreshing buttermilk mousses with strawberries a melon cocktail is offered here for the dessert variant Landolin. Conclusion: The sustainable use of food and resources is important for Landolin employees. More importantly, the guest feels welcome and that he tastes naturally. And it does. Therefore, a deserved 4.5 in section, for the impeccable and very modern sanitary facilities I award maximum score.
