Green Street Food Spirits - Manitowoc

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant, enjoying the perch and benefiting from great service. While it can get quite crowded during peak hours on a Friday evening, they efficiently turnover tables, though it can be a bit frustrating when some diners linger long after finishing their meals. The bar area is busy, but the bartenders are attentive and manage to take drink orders quickly, even when you're standing behind other guests. The ambiance is somewhat dark and dated, but I’m willing to overlook that because of the high quality of the food and service.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is fantastic, the prices are reasonable, and they make an excellent old-fashioned cocktail!

While the restaurant is on the smaller side and can get quite busy, this intimacy adds to its charm. I did find it a bit warm and stuffy during my visit, but the attentive staff quickly addressed any discomfort and went above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience. What surprised me was how family-friendly the atmosphere was, despite having a bar. Families can enjoy a meal together without feeling out of place, which is a rare find in the gastro pub scene. Really good food! Great service! About a 30 min wait at the bar on a Saturday night is to be expected.
