I have two go-to spots in SM Megamall when I'm in the mood for a matcha latte. One of them is Akiba Café in Building A (the other one is Blenz Coffee in Building B). Akiba has truly mastered the art of iced matcha lattes, and what sets theirs apart is the delicious trifle cream they add to the drink. It's sweet, creamy, and absolutely delightful. My siblings enjoy Akiba as well. My sister, who has a sweet tooth but manages to stay slim, usually orders the Nutty Macadamia. My younger brother, on the other hand, prefers the hot matcha latte. I've also sampled Akiba's cakes, and the green tea cheesecake is definitely my favorite. While I have nothing but praise for Akiba's drinks and desserts, I do have a couple of complaints about the location. Being situated in an open area means you can hear all the noise from passersby, and if there's an event in the activity center downstairs, you'll be subjected to loud music as well. This can be quite disruptive if you're trying to concentrate on something important. Additionally, seating at the café is limited, leading to occasions when I've had to find another place to relax simply because there was no available space at Akiba.

Apologies for the poor quality photos. The drinks at this restaurant are fantastic and definitely worth trying, especially the Chiru. I haven't had a chance to try their cakes yet. I hope they relocate to a place with indoor seating and an outdoor dining area.

The desserts at this restaurant are budget-friendly. The matcha cheesecake is a must-try and pairs well with a nice conversation with a friend. The staff is quick and welcoming.
