Bidra med feedbackThe staff were very obliging here. They squeezed us in because we were Aussies, ; on a night full of people there for office Christmas functions. Our food was delicious, carbonara and fettucine with mushrooms and parma ham. I was distraught because I couldn't fit dessert in and had to watch all these amazing concoctions go past. The waiter was a hoot and super friendly. Recommend this.
Decent pasta pizza. Nice options for wines by the glass, too. Excellent dessert! Super friendly staff great service. I look forward to returning.
My wife and I popped in here after walking all over the city seeing its sights. She wanted a light meal while I only wanted a drink. We both got a glass of Riesling. My wife ordered the cream of tomato soup. It smell and tasted amazing. As she is a slow eater, I couldn't take my eyes of the desserts. I selected an Italian cake, which was highly recommended by the waiter, who I think was also an owner. He was charming and very polite. We had a wonderful experience at this cozy little place on the corner.
Because we weren't here before. now where it is to be seen that we leave mainz I discover such a kitten. really, hand and homemade pasta and so tasty... I've been walking past it more often. at the end of the augustinergasse in the old town, where an italian comes after the other anyway. eis, yes, we have already eaten there, at the associated street sale and is also produced there. by coincidence I came to the homepage of the da vito and there will of course be great with pasta production. you can also buy this pasta for home. (the flyer I photographed and hanged once. the internet appears so much convinced that I already dared to visit three weeks before, then with my mother. I was so adored by the pasta, that of course I had to go back with my lady. (here I also evaluate the dishes from the first visit incl. pictures on this Tuesday evening, often used for the cinema visit – as this time should be tasty nudel at da vito. vito is the chef who enriches the mainzer gastronomy with his family almost 30 years. according to my own statement in the menu – “Also whether cake, bread, ice or pasta, even with the first bite, the high-quality and traditional production can be tasted in your own home.” but the series. it was Tuesday night, shortly after half seven when we entered the ristorant through the glass door. as at the first visit almost full house. well 60 guests would have space, a table for us was still free, others occupied or reserved. unfortunately this evening also a Christmas party in the back part of the dining room. the is brightly designed, facing the outside, red and white in change. on the large rear wall hangs a large mirror. the front part reminds more of a bistro, both in terms of möblierung and the fact that at the entrance the beautiful vitrine with cake and sweets or with antipasti, depending on the daytime. the rear part of the room looks more prominent, “romantic” by dark padded leather chairs and sessels. also directly in front over the cash box is a large table with monthly changing offered (see photo . further, quite smaller ones can find themselves in the wall in the rear part of the gas room, or outside the entrance. Unfortunately, these offers are not discussed at all, or only on demand. we are greeted at entering equally friendly and get an even free table instructed. at the same time the long red rod candle is ignited. the front table are covered with a kind of washable tablecloth, a small Christmas star and a set cute per seat with red paper napkins. our table had only two chairs, in other local ones sitting in mainz then even four guests... the cards don't need long until they find the way to us. a transversal kartonage plant with a beautiful selection of Italian dresses. to mention here that besides the Italian name of the courts is the obligatory German translation, but also the English name is to be read. the primi are classically held, a selection of antipasti can be met on request by the service team, if you have not just desire to crawl into the vitrine itself. the large part of the secondi naturally makes the pasta. all fresh, filled and unfilled, also baked. on meat there are only lammkotellets or Salt‘imboca alla romana. and a fish dish, grilled tinted fish. more selection is available again at the pizza, which comes from the wood-fired stone oven, and it looks good what I could see so at the table! there is also a small, fine wine selection, both on open and on bottled wines. special attention is given to the grappa. exactly, or better said even more, each drop is presented and described. very lousy! the rest is again good standard. after a pleasant time comes the first of the three to four service employees to receive the order. shortly after, you can also bring the drinks. at the first visit it was allowed to be a bottle of san pellegrino (0,75 5,10€, for me two pinot grigio (0,2 4,70€ and for my mum a montepulciano d’Abruzzo (0,2 4,50€). not spectacular but clearly better than the usual average. at the second visit we spear the water, fräulein also chose the montepulciano d’Abruzzo, this time I chose the chianti (0.2 4.70€ that could already be a lot for his little money and I liked so well that it could also be a second! at the first visit we chose both from the board at the entrance. the exact word is missing, but I still know what there was... but before then antipasti della casa (11.50€ large portion cold and warm appetizers from the vitrine. we had to select the service. that knows more what has to go; no, everything was wonderful and fresh. we had a little fade salami for the selection, but also very tasty and spicy mortadella. There was also a thin cut calf. coarse chips from the parmesan was the representative of the cheese department. vegetables were abundantly represented, mostly grilled and marinated (aubergine, paprika, zucchini or even only gedified (flower cauliflower was served in a small day a spicy tomato sauce. also very fine tasted the small warm vegetable run alla ratatouille. the peel of different olives rounded off the prosperous teller. for this, house-baked focaccia was delivered. a good starter and in this size also sufficient for two people. 4* then came after a pleasant waiting period our pasta. at the neighboring stage drove me the eating of the two next to us water in the mouth, spaghetti with seafood. visually very tasty. this is my choice for the next visit! but now for the past... pappardelle with stone mushrooms, salsiccia, parmaschinken and parmesan (13,80??????? also looked delicious and smelled good. and not exaggerated to stone mushrooms. before it was re-heated on the recommendation of the waiter with the large pfeffer mill. the pasta was noticed at the bit that it was made. the mushrooms were probably tk but were well seasoned and not completely watered and unfortunately the salsiccia was also very hard. my mother couldn't chew them. for this the ham was very fine in aroma and taste, and the creamy creamy creamy sauce tasted formally and the good noodles. just 4*, the salsiccia prevented more. but eating has been kind of happy... in the second evening we had a little bit to remember that it could last longer with eating, as the load was so full, among other things with the Christmas party in the background. but they got shortly after we had ordered their appetizers and also the table next to us with the small four-headed family got their appetizers soon. the two little girls had better things to do, ran around the tables and then lay down next to us. there was the scream there and in mamas poor too big! Generally, this evening was quite loud in the local. but this is so with large companies under the influence of unrestricted alcohol consumption. (always this aperol splash... also this time no gruß aus der koch, only a small basket with baguette was placed wordless on our table. shortly after, the hotly anticipated pasta came... lasagne da vito (10.50€ fräulein didn't let me taste at all, so good was the lasagne. without doubt I can say the best I have ever eaten in a restaurant. perhaps even the best one at all! the noodles in themselves did not come to the line, but above all was not saved with the one between the plates. adequately chop meat, which was tasted and beautifully for a long time with tubs, wobbles and red wine. as a further taste piece was grilled vegetables with a single layer and the bechamél soße on top was also impeccable. And around it a very spicy but still tomato sauce, which was the bang. so real, it's not better! 5* for a lasagne! the dried spaghetti as a deco-element nice to look, more but not. pappardelle con ragu di cervo (13,50€ was nix other than the classic type of bolognese (as you really cook in the emilia romagna however with cervical meat. not a chop meat, but small cubes and merciful pumice. was very spicy and only slightly reminiscent of wild. even if the ragout of the lasagne tasted better, this was not badly parenting. also here beautifully worked to me and celery and above a good red wine note. the noodles were wonderful from the gard and salt was also enough in the game. also here the junior chief pfeffer from the mill rained on my teller. a very judicious dish, which I would also like to eat again. 4.5* in the afternoon, their main dishes were served, a very good looking pizza, pasta for the small as a child, here the junior chief offered freshly grated parmesan and also came with the cheese mill and was not greedy. Otherwise you get only the foolish with grim cheese what actually looks for others... my face had still appetit, if she had discovered tiramisu in the map. and that at the Italian. now. I gave them and I glowed the second chianti : but as she was so generous to order with two spoons, I also enjoyed again here... tiramisu (5,90€ in portions, no question, taste but bomb. had I mentioned that I didn't like tiramisu? they could convince me. fine mascarpone cream with subtle vanilla flavor and fine marsalaaroma. also the spoon bite were good and not too dry soaked. top dragonfly was powdered with kakao. the real highlight was next to it. No, not the two. the little little little marsalaeis. dat was juut! very tasty. ! 4* exceptionally, fräulein did not take espresso, this is served here stylishly with a small, quiet water. so it remained to me to order the bill and to increase it with a good drink. our divorce almost went a bit, but they had enough to do to supply the hungry meute behind us with food. Conclusion: eating here is just saulecker and makes happy. better it's hard. pasta is simply a board! and then also so well prepared! 4.5* perhaps it is still worth mentioning that there is also an appealing lunch table here! (see www the service is here and there is something lame, but nevertheless friendly and not too intrusive, as you often experience in Italian ristorant, just opposite the women. here everything is somewhat more reserved but not in negative sense. Perhaps the food beside the map should be told to the guest. even though they are still written to the wall in Italian. 3.5* ambiente could be better. remembers more of a bistro than a ristorant or even a trattoria. Maybe we had only a bad visit to ours. 3.5* on the cleanliness there’s nix to moken. even the toilets clean, if even a little worn-out. more than good. 4* plv is in my opinion in the face of the commanded tip. fresh, homemade pasta costs a little more, but at the result I also value the money. 4.5* in any case we come back. I have had better pasta only in italy. (and at my house ; 5 – necessarily again (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it comes back again, 4 – happy again, 5 – definitely back to the kitchen
