Chocolaterie Raphael - Magog

Stopped in to get a piece of chocolate and found the best brownies. They looked thick but dry, but they were so moist. I was only going to take a bit and ended up eating all of it. The chocolate is very good. It was rich and creamy with no aftertaste. A little pricey for chocolate but oh so worth it. I am glad I stopped in.

We always thought my wife's hot chocolate was great. Then we visited Raphael and even she had to agree that theirs is just amazing. Their latte and muffins are very good too. Not to be missed!

The place is very nice and they make incredible oatmeal chocolate chop cookie -- the best ever! However, the cashier (I think seeing I was an American) tried to charge me an unusually high amount. When I asked her for receipt she got quiet, and then I asked her to review my receipt item by item -- and I asked her to explain what 1 item we bought that cost $22.75 (which was on receipt)?There was none (not even close!) and no apology -- just handed me $22.75 from register. I don't know but it felt a bit fishy -- IE --- what 22.75 supposed to be 2.75? She gave no explanation -- just here's your money. So rather than go on -- it's first time in my travels this has happened without good explanation and it felt shady. Whether it was -- who knows but I would say check your bill there -- that's all.
