Seagulls Resort - Magnetic Island

We had originally booked this resort and thought it would be a nice place to celebrate a birthday dinner (based on its website), not to realize until it was too late that there was no longer a restaurant. we were here for 2 nights at the beginning of...July 2022. although the room was clean, there was only a butter knife and a teaspoon as cutlery and no dishes. when we asked about some, the flustered man in the office was sure if he could find any and was about to start some cleaning, so had not time to look, we had no worry, we were going to be out all day, so no hurry. when we came back in that night, there was no cute yet. the whole 'resort' (if not called a resort) was shut down. when we used the drier in the laundry, it took our coins and then 't worked, again the officeman could not repair it, but at least gave us our coins back, unfortunately he left us with a haufen wet clothes. I wouldn't stay here again.

Excellent Asian menu. simple but very tasty and just the right amount. the best I've had for a long time. good price and a nice quiet location. great friendly and efficient service. highly recommended.

Very happy with the standard of accomodation as it was under $100. it is an old resort, but it has pools bar restaurant. I think they make it slow. very quiet location and a wonderful walk along the mangroves to army barracks and viewing platforms. dont. expect a sandy, blue beach. it is hard to find at night, but it is worth it. nice bed and improved bathroom. only negative no internet in their room. they sit next to the office. Older dame who works there is a jewel at the property. so friendly and helpful.

We visited this restaurant several times. The breakfast was outstanding, and the snacks and pizzas were fantastic. Unfortunately, our lunch experience was disappointing as it took a long time to be served and was quite heavy. The waitstaff was excellent, but I believe pre-booking may have made the chef nervous. Overall, everything else was top-notch.

The restaurant breakfast was the disappointing part of the trip I have never seen anything like it, the continental was some cold baked waffles and pancakes piled on a plate on the bench, along side some chopped up fruit and the hot buffet consisted of...sausages gravy tasted like out of can, scrambled eggs that looked like powered egg and some bacon that looked like it had been boiled.
