Sushi Express - Madison

For a Cali girl this sushi isn't too bad. We got the simple rolls of two for 10$ basically. The fish portions were good and size of the rolls were good. However the ginger for the Togo cups seemed almost spoiled?Was a perfect light meal before moving on to our next adventures

I tried this place out on a whim, and was seriously pleased with the quality, content and especially prices. Yes, it's a small shop. A few tables for sit down, they do have seating before the sushi counter. They do pick up orders as well. I got my order quickly too. Worth the pop in and check it out.Food: 5/5

I've lived in Madison for a year and Sushi Express has been a reliable place for sushi specifically their two roll deal. However, they have begun decreasing the fish in their sushi to a significantly miniscule portion. Additionally, while the staff are competent and efficient, their treatment of customers is stiff, cold, and unwelcoming.

This is one of the worst sushi restaurants I have been too, not just in the Madison area but as a whole. Their sushi is just above sushi you would find at the grocery store.. truly awful. It was not fresh. Lacking any good flavor. It is not worth it. The place is not well kept and service was not the best. I would probably prefer the grocery store sushi if it saved me a few bucks.. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

We have been ordering here for nearly 10 years. This is our favorite, go-to place for inexpensive, delicious sushi. We have never had any issues at all with the service we received. We are grateful that whenever we call to order, they answer promptly and have our order ready within 10-15 minutes no matter how complicated. Thank you to all the staff for the wonderful experience over the years!
