MQ Fusion - Macquarie Park

I have visited MQ Fusion four times in the past four months and my experience has been inconsistent. The presentation of the food is appealing, but I have noticed that it is overly seasoned with salt or vinegar. It seems like they may be using too much fish sauce. Due to this, I have decided to avoid dining here as it is too overpowering for my taste buds. My recommendation to the restaurant would be to use less sour and salty sauces in their dishes.

This restaurant offers a straightforward Asian menu with efficient and friendly service. It provides great value for the price and is a top option for a fast and satisfying meal.

They may have a couple of different chefs as the first time we ate here the food was reasonable. It would never win awards but it was tasty and a reasonable sized serving. We recently ate here prior to a movie and the "Salt and Pepper Prawns" totally lacked flavour, no hint of salt and pepper or any additive of flavouring at all. My husbands meal (cannot remember what it was) was a good sized portion but the accompanying rice was gluggy and quite unappealing in texture. My rice cooker at home turns out far better rice than was served here. This is a hole in the wall type restaurant that sees customer eat and go, not really a place to sit for long chatting over a meal, the food is served up pretty quick and the staff are pleasant. They will continue in business I'm sure but for us there are far better places to eat in Macquarie centre. We won't be back.
