We have ordered by wort覓. Very well packed and the food tastes good. Especially like the sucking pig, crispy and juicy!
This place offers small and cozy space, with dim lighting. Close to Old Taipa village, the evening walk on Cobblestone Street, which led to this restaurant, made us feel that we walk in the streets of Europe. Tapas de Portugal is a sister-restaurant to Antonio Macau, both owned by Portuguese chef Antonio. Its framed representation can be seen on a wall at the back door entrance. The restaurant uses beautiful patterned European handicraft dishes to maximize Portuguese ambience. We ordered three dishes. Sauteed Clams in olive oil, garlic, lemons, coriander and white wine sauce This was a fresh and aromatic dish. The only thing is that we wish that less salt was used as the soup was abit salty when we try to dip our bread into the sauce. 2. Grilled Octopus and black pig fillet in red wine reduction This was amazing and really tapas-like. Soft and chewing grilled octopus paired well with pork cut, pinned on flat crispy bread with toothpick pencil. Some special sauce on the roasted bread lightened the taste of every bite. 3. Seafood Paella The seafood paella was above average in a sense that seafood and ingredients were super fresh. Presentation wise, it is served very traditionally where paella rice is cooked in flat steel pan. And while we enjoyed courts, a surprise guitar and singing performance relieved the European mood and ambience in the restaurant. This was a unique experience in Macau and I would definitely come back to try more Portuguese dishes in Antonio Macau.
Great place, great atmosphere on the terrace. visited on 13 november, perfect weather to sit outside. had a glass of red sangria, very good. amazing paprika, cadry cake and garlic spaghetti. overall very good feeling after visiting this place, in any case again.
Came here for lunch we ordered suckling pig cod fish potato balls. The suckling pig skin was crispy the meat was tender but there was still some porky smell... they should squeeze either some orange/lemon/lime juice on the meat to combat the oozing fat. Fries were good. For the potato balls, can't really taste the cod fish ... service was very good. Overall, a good experience dining in the restaurant.
