Bidra med feedbackA friend of ours who is a local brought us here for some wine and food. We originally just came to drink but the food looked so good that we ate as well. The Spaghetti bolognese was ridiculous. It is a specialty of the region so didn't expect anything less. The spaghetti with garlic and oil was the most underrated thing we ate all trip. So simple in its preparation but so delicious. The wine was on point as well and atmosphere was bustling. This is your classic italian wine bar with a lot of traffic coming in and out. Snag a table as quick as you can because it does fill up with walk-ins and reservations. I was originally worried eating so close to the square since that usually means tourist food but it wasn't the case here. Bon appetit!
A for effort ... Ok, I love their menu....technically... I like that they offer things like fried sardines, zucchini fritti, bacaloa spread... So hooray for the menu! But the execution....oy vey! Seriously, when you have to add salt...a generous amount of salt....to a bacalao spread, something is seriously wrong! With a squeeze of lemon the spread became reminiscent of salted cod fish. Basically I had to keep the salt grind close at hand cause everything was severely under seasoned. The zucchini fritti were limb and topped with some bland grated unmelted dutch cheese. Why not Parmesan? Or Pecorino? The whole dinner was sad really. The semifreddo was rock solid frozen. Staff was uncustomary friendly, nothing but good intentions. So I really wanted this to be good! But the only things that were remotely decent were the lamb skewers. After a sprinkling of salt of course... And the sardines, perhaps. I 'm baffled at why people are raving about this place on other review sites. Cockamamie! It hurts me to do this, but....okay, so 1 star for introducing me to Monkey 47 gin served with Fentimans tonic. And an A, not for effort but for intention. That 's all I can squeeze out of this place though. That and a slice of lemon...and a sprinkle of salt. Scheiße...
Always a pleasure to have the opportunity to be in this facility. beautiful people, great food and a chique wine bar. many thanks for the beautiful gastronomic moments.
We traveled far to come eat at this restaurant and google said it was open and listed the hours open. We arrived hungry and found the restaurant closed and it looked like it hadn't been open in awhile and some sort of construction was going on. Very disappointed!
