Jour De Marche - Lyon

Sadly we were the only diners inside so no atmosphere which may also have influenced our review. Not as good as we hoped as the ideas didn’t work that well. Some nice flavours but nothing that made us go ‘wow!’ We’re not fans of smears of food across the plate or little jugs of sauce if they don’t add anything. More about chef’s skills than a tasty plate of food.

We very much enjoyed our dinner at jour de marche. The food was really excellent, and the waiter made us feel very welcome and spoke English. He was reassuring and made our experience even more enjoyable and relaxed, which is not always the case in France.

Very nice surprise, finesse, balance and greed! Daring mixtures. Really thank you to the whole team. Very beautiful image of French gastronomy.
