Bidra med feedbackThis place is really underestimated. his so far the best fish and chips that I found in a 25 km radius seems as if they cook everything in speratfrieten. chips taste like chips, clean crispy and as they would expect. fish in the teig is cooked, as I have a light crack and crack. I would definitely recommend this place.
My experience seems to differ from many here. Ordered through Uber Eats to collect. Slightly late in completing the order but I won’t complain. I do have issues about the quality of the chips which were either over cooked or refried; and not very fresh. The batter for the grilled blue grenadier was at times too thick and falling off. The crumbed prawns also not cooked evenly some nice, others too brown. Pretty disappointing.
I walked in store to order take away, paid by card and the receipt shows 6:43pm. I was told the wait is about 30 minutes. At 7:34pm I finally got my dinner. The staff didn 't have a clue where my order was, not a single person apologised for the wait. They thanked me for waiting. They cook the chips and the fish in one basket and dunk them in oil. So your chips will taste like fish and your fish will taste something else. Here 's my grilled barramundi:
Since the first lock get my fish and chips from this place quite often. great place and great friendly staff. the mini-pack and it was always good to get a great crispy fish. quite generous and can easily feed two. would recommend this place for her.
The food from here is great. However, avoid unless you want to sit there for 30-60 minutes waiting for your order whilst you watch countless orders for Uber Eats or whatever getting pumped out, only to sit in the warmer for 10-15 minutes before they're even picked up. These orders are given FAR higher priority over customers who have gone to the trouble of coming into the store. The workers work in slow motion and if you ask for actual fish (ie not flake) it's guaranteed to be cooked poorly. The management clearly have no idea on how to run a business, and I have no doubt they'd have gone under years ago if the other fish chip shops in the area weren't so bad. I still hope to see a For Lease sign on the window one day, though.
