Country Cookin - Lynchburg

Our server was super nice. that was our first time we visited this place. much more spacious than it appeared from outside. Buffet food was great, and our escapes really came fast, despite a power failure happened while we were there. in any case worth a visit.

Awesome service! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The manager took the extra time to personally help identify foods containing soy. She even took the time to read the food ingredients of the items she was unsure of. I could not have asked for better service. Her efforts meant the world. I was able to have peace of mind in the food selections for my son.

One of best friends and I went there to eat lunch 02/13/2020. We ordered the flounder and salad bar. Not only was the food good but the service was excellent. Kathy Wood was our waitress and she was awesome. When we go back we plan to ask for a table in her section.

The food was great, nice filling, home cooked food. The atmosphere was nice and friendly. The serving staff seemed a little inexperienced nothing that a little training wouldn't help. This is a great place for families especially those with children. Kudos to management for Kids eating free on Mondays awesome idea!

It's always hot or miss at this Country Cookin. This time it was a total miss! I had gastric bypass surgery 2 years ago and can only eat small amounts. I showed the server my card from my doctor starting I had had the surgery and can only eat a child's portion. He said he would ask his manager and he came back to say they would not honor my card. It took forever for him to come back. The service was slow. My husband ordered the country fried steak and was given the chicken fried chicken. I did not even finish one plate from the bar. The only good thing was that he actually did not charge me at all for my less than 1 plate. I continue to visit because I grew up going there and I truly hope one day it will be good every time I go there to eat. I also miss the little metal bowls they used to serve the pudding in. Those were so much fun to stack as we finished. We're used to make pyramids when we were kids.
