I come home to Davao once a year and never fail to visit Blugre each time. I visit Blugre mainly for 2 reasons- their choco torte served in warm cream/ milk and chicken enchillada. It was great 10 yrs.ago and it is as divine to this day. I am not a fan of the hot coffee they serve though. Im not sure if this is because im the type who buys her own coffee beans from Bali and boil them the traditional way.i love the fact that most davao city folk would rather flock to the overly-hyped Starbucks so i often have the place to myself. Maybe blugre can re-invent itself and go old school w/ preparing coffee?
Blugre Coffee shop is one of the famous and established coffee shop brand in Davao City. Their branches are popping up all over Metro Davao and recently expanded to other parts of Mindanao. One this I love Blugre are their local-based coffee flavors, one of which is the famous Durian Coffee. I must say one of the must-try coffee options on their menu. I love how they incorporate flavors of Davao which makes them unique from other coffee shops.
Nice café, but they put cinnamon on the cappuccino which is an inexcusable faux pas. Maybe best to visit for their novelty durian coffee
I used to love blugre when they were still starting. But i noticed that in every blugre that i go to now, they dont take care of their shop. Mostly its already run down. Paint is already gone on their tables or their place is either filthy or smells funny. In a bad way. I hope they renovate or bring some spice cause they are already being left by Green Coffee and SB. Just sad. And their service isnt top notch too like it used to be.
