La Perle D'asie - Luik

The Bead of Asie is located in one of the streets off the square. The set menu was reasonable at 16€ for an appetizer, soup, hot dish, and dessert. We were excited to try it out, but were disappointed to find the restaurant nearly empty. Despite this, the manager seated us at a table for two right next to another couple, making for an awkward dining experience. The chips tasted odd, like cheese, and the salad was small and dry. The soup was tasty but lacking in quantity. The hot dish, 3 spring rolls, was unremarkable. The beef with Chinese mushrooms was served on a hot plate in front of us, emitting a nauseating odor. The meat was off and had a strong smell, but when we mentioned it to the waitress she dismissed our concerns. The kitchen seemed unclean and the overall experience was disappointing given the price and quality promised. It's best to avoid this place if you're looking for good, clean Chinese food.

The service was welcoming and friendly. However, the prices on the menu were higher than expected at 14€ and 15.50€. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. The homemade aperitif was made from canned juice, the sauces were tasteless, the dishes were disappointing, and the fruits seemed to come straight from cans. Overall, it was a waste of time and money. Furthermore, it ended in a bad note as all five of us at the table felt sick afterwards. It is clear that this restaurant is not the same as it was five years ago. I would rate the quality a 3 out of 10 (only because 5 was not an option).

Very good Asian restaurant without pretention. value for money unbeatable. The boss is a really welcoming and charming lady! I'm clearly a fan of this little restaurant!

A recommend to those who love Asian cuisine without chichi. pleasant welcome, very good cuisine and more cheap.

A welcome always as friendly, an unbeatable quality/price ratio, fine cuisine, good quality wines at more than reasonable prices, I have been attending this restaurant for more years and I have never had anything to say. Thank you for all these good evenings and for your availability even at late hours.
