Lugarno Seafood Restaurant - LUGARNO

We had a set menu, with 4 choices of Entree and 4 main meal. My choices were both very nice. Service were wonderful. Whole restaurant appeared a little dated, bit time warp, but clean. It would have been very upmarket in it's 'hayday'.

Up-market restaurant with a magnificent ambience overlooking the peaceful waters of the Georges River at Lugarno. The service is outstanding and the standard of food served is excellent. Prices are quite expensive with very exorbitant prices charged for wines. The selection of desserts is fabulous and I can highly recommend the tasting plate. Recommend a leisurely luncheon here with family or friends to take advantage of the beautiful views. Parking can be a problem on Sundays (which are busy) with limited on-site parking but parking available on one side of Old Forest Road. Wheelchair accessibility is excellent at this restaurant.

I was taken here by my family for my 30th birthday, it was really really enjoyable everything was of high quality. I had the calamari spectacular! My dad had the zucchini flower it was so nice. I had the Salmon as a main sensational crispy skin yum, I loved the flavours they used for the veggies perfect seriously so impressed. The only thing I could fault I had the chocolate cake it was horrible, stale and flavourless. I cannot explain how high quality the service was.

This restaurant impressed me greatly. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the owner who treated us like his oldest friends. We had a glass of beautiful French champagne and we chose off the extensive menu Sushi followed by the hot and cold seafood platter. I had never eaten Sushi before and to say I was impressed was an understatement it was Yummy. The platter came out and oh my god from the fresh fruit down to the all the seafood was so delicious. The hot bugs and prawns were just that. They were hot not Luke warm. Only a slight downside were the chips which were a little soggy. I would highly recommend this dish. My daughter and her friend who I was dining with have been there before and they also recommend the Snapper and the hot seafood platter. The service was impeccable and nothing was too much trouble. The ambience was so lovely with a lovely view of the river. The prices were reasonable for seafood a little pricey but I guess you pay for what you get. As it was my birthday the owner bought me out a large plate of a tasting of 7 different desserts on the house. What can I say WOW they were amazing desserts. I loved this place and will definitely be back.
